About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and client-focused Protection Adviser to join our dynamic team at our Chorley headquarters. You’ll work closely with our Mortgage team, handling warm leads and guiding clients through the protection process with clarity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for delivering the right solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in protection sales and a deep understanding of mortgage-linked insurance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert advice on a range of protection products:
- Life insurance
- Critical illness cover
- Income protection
- Family income benefit
- Accident, sickness, and unemployment protection
- Handling inbound and outbound customer calls to understand needs and recommend suitable cover
- Engage with warm leads provided by Mortgage Advisers, expertly guiding clients through their protection options.
- Deliver clear, concise, and tailored advice to ensure clients are matched with the most appropriate insurance products.
- Clearly communicate the benefits and limitations of various life, critical illness, and income protection policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the CRM system.
- Proactively respond to inbound enquiries and identify new protection opportunities to grow your client bank and pipeline.
- Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales objectives, supporting a culture of accountability and success.
- Prioritise your workload effectively to manage multiple sales opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training and performance reviews
- Adhere to all regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and contribute to positive customer feedback and loyalty.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a protection advisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a performance-driven environment.
- In-depth understanding of protection products and how they relate to mortgage clients.
- A background in delivering excellent customer service, with a strong focus on client outcomes.
- Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, and a confident, persuasive phone manner.
- A natural relationship builder, comfortable liaising with colleagues and clients alike.
- Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring all advice and documentation are accurate.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
